Bear Flat Open studios

I'm taking part in the Bear Flat open studios weekend this weekend and monday. There will be cards, tea towels and bags and a few other things, if I can find them.

I've printed a smaller boat print for the occasion, called "Icebreakers to save the day" (always handy)

deadweight is great - oh yeah!

I've spent a lot of money recently on eye bag concealer but I'm thrilled to be the proud owner of this snowbirds/eyebag print from the talented screenprinting hands of Sandi from Deadweight (if I ever get round to making a blogs I follow list it will be at the top - screenprinting, music and odd pictures of food just can't be beaten...) http://www.deadweightisgreat.blogspot.com/

We did a postal swap recently after a spot of blog comment banter...the internet can be a wonderful thing!

Nice use of old typewriter too...

I just spotted this cd cover over on her blog - which I love, if the music is as good as the cover I want to hear it.

box of bags and bags

posted my first official shop order on thursday - to The Made in the Shade, Glasgow. So if you find yourself in that fine city you can purchase a Paaaaarp bag or maybe a Maracas bag - whoooo!

I printed on these stripey little numbers for the Selvegde fair - I've got billions of them so need to do some more events.

Selvedge fun fair

The last couple of weeks have been a bit whirlwind, heat and flash - getting ready for the Selvedge Fair (so apologies to all those waiting for me to post them something)...it was a really good day (despite my alarm going off at 4.20am) met lots of nice people and overall got good reactions to my stuff - there was tea and cake too.

(A massive thanks to Genna who helped out on the day, I don't think I would've coped without her - thanks Genna)

one of my favourite moments of the day was when one lady stood by my table and said "cheeeeeep" in exactly the way I hear it in my head...love her!

meeeeow

Thanks for helping me out with the cat dilemma - turned out that Cat A's evil cousin won through in the end.....and (trumpet fanfare) Lisanne is the oh so lucky winner and will soon be the proud owner of her very own 'the cat is out of the bag' bag. Yeeeehah!

(hey Lisanne - email me your address please)

the cat is bluey-black and the speech bubble is in very on-trend reddish-coral (though it alters a bit every few bags as I kept running out of ink). oops.
